What We Believe
THE BIBLE is the inspired, infallible, perfect Word of God. God preserved His ‘Word for us today in the King James Bible.
MAN was made in the image of God by special creation and is not the result of evolution. Man has willfully sinned against God and thus incurred spiritual and physical death. We are sinners by birth and by personal choice.
JESUS CHRIST is God come in the flesh, born of a virgin, sinless in life, crucified on the cross for all men, buried and arose again the third day, and will soon return for true believers.
HEAVEN is a place prepared only for those who have received Christ as Saviour. It is a literal place for all of the redeemed.
HELL is the place of eternal torment and fire prepared by God for the devil, his demons, and all who refuse Christ as Saviour.
SALVATION is the free gift of God. All men need to be saved and are totally helpless to save themselves. We must be saved by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as our own personal Saviour from sin and hell. We are born again by the power of God.
FREE WILL was given to man that we may freely choose to accept or reject God’s provision for our salvation.
THE LOCAL CHURCH is the body of baptized believers assembled for worship and service, and commissioned to take the Gospel to all the world. It is God’s established institution for this age through which all of His work is to be accomplished.
GODLY LIVING is to be the characteristic of every true Christian. We must be clean morally and personally guided by the Scriptures in all things. While allowing for religious freedom of all people, we uphold the banner of personal purity and oppose modernism, worldliness, sinful habits, and immorality.
